Epic Universe in the rain: what stays open
Epic Universe stays open in the rain, but its coasters and family rides in Celestial Park and on the Isle of Berk are outdoors. Universal's rules say attractions may close because of weather, so outdoor rides like Stardust Racers and Hiccup's Wing Gliders can pause during storms. If a hurricane or tropical storm warning is issued for Orlando within seven days of your arrival, tickets bought directly from Universal can be rescheduled without fees.

There is no rainy day guarantee. The only weather exception is a hurricane or tropical storm warning (or a state of emergency) for Orlando or your hometown within seven days of arrival: tickets bought directly from Universal can then be changed or canceled without fees, while tickets from third-party sellers follow that seller's own policy.
Parks, Attractions or Entertainment may close due to refurbishing, capacity, weather or special events; change operating hours; and otherwise change or be discontinued without notice and without liability to the owners of Universal Orlando Resort. Getting to Epic Universe
By car: Epic Universe has its own parking lot at 1001 Epic Boulevard, separate from the other parks' garages; regular self-parking is $35 a day including tax, and the free after-6 pm parking offered at the main garages doesn't apply here.
By public transport: LYNX Link 311 stops about a five-minute walk from the park entrance and also connects with the Sand Lake Road SunRail station, though service on the Epic Universe loop was cut back in April 2026; Universal's on-site hotels run free shuttles.
